YWVS is one of the youth organizations that has enjoyed and still enjoys visionary and focused leadership at Chancellor College. Thus, through such sound leadership, the organization has received massive support from different youth organizations nationwide. In brief, the following programs are on the table:

Firstly, YWVS through its former leadership has managed to clinch a deal with the National Aids Commission (NAC) to implement a one-year project. Any number of activities have been put in place including: career talks, motivational talks, AIDS sensitization and awareness campaigns, ‘Open day’, and ‘Big walks’, just to mention a few. Secondly, YWVS hopes to clinch another deal with UNICEF to implement another project targeting the Lakeshore areas. When we say ‘we are the visionary’, we really mean it!

In addition, YWVS shall hold its farewell function for its final year students in January 2009 and the venue is none other than ‘by the lake-side’. After thrilling the youth, let the group be thrilled by the lake.

On the agenda as well, YWVS is planning for a massive ‘re-union’ with all its Alumni (graduates that have gone through YWVS). The date and venue is yet to be scheduled, but all members and alumni should be ready for such an exciting moment.

The outline above is just a sample of what’s on the menu, but there are a number of other short term projects and activities that have been put in place. The new executive shall work hand in hand with the previous executive in pursuance of these projects. Let as all hold hands and work together to help the youth in Malawi for the good of the nation at large.
